The two Photographs above are
of a mare and her foal, they are amongst the herds
of wild horses which roam the Quantock Hills in the
county of Somerset designated as an Area Of
Outstanding Natural Beauty. They where first
introduced to the area for conservation purposes. It
is an absolute delight to see these handsome
creatures in a natural environment. Photographs

Unlike the
vast majority of their counterparts this cow and
chicken at least have their freedom for a while in
the fresh air and sunshine. The tragedy is that most
of their kind spend their short lives in
dreadful conditions, crammed into confined spaces in
dark windowless sheds, suffering from disease and
crippling conditions, treated as milk or egg
producing machines. Such idyllic scenes make
decorative wallpaper but the reality for most farm
animals is quite different.
