Highland Cattle are amongst Britain's or more precisely Scotland's'  oldest breeds; unlike many domesticated animals they have remained unchanged for centuries. This is a very handsome creature as you can see with long mostly reddish hair and impressive horns.

 

We came across these cattle near Malham in the Yorkshire Dales. I have tried to find out the breed of cattle to which they belong  but without success. If anyone knows please let me know.

 

 

This flock of Goats are wild and roam quite freely in the Cheddar Gorge in Somerset England

 

A caterpillar is an animal, often people do not consider insects as animals. This is a misconception. In Biology all living things are divided into two main categories: Plants and animals.
