These tiny
lambs are a joy to see after such a bleak and severe
winter. The photographs on this page were taken in mid
February. More will be included as they become available

These tiny lambs were at least two weeks old
when we first saw them playfully frolicking
in a field on a bitter cold day at the
beginning of February. They hardly have any
fleece to protect them from one of the most
bitterly cold winters that we have
experienced in the UK for long time .
Sadly many thousands of lambs die from the
cold |

You sometimes see this, but usually not when
you have your camera to hand. This was a
distance shot so not the best of photographs
but shows clearly how little lambs stand on
mum's back while she it seems remains
undisturbed |
