Beautiful Sheep

This webpage is the first of a series that I hope will portray the fact that farm animals just like any other animal are beautiful creatures.

Photograph Gallery: Videos Birds

Two new videos Time for a Bath and Feeding Time for Baby Birds

Scroll down for a selection of photographs of sheep and lambs taken by my husband John and myself, mostly of sheep in the Yorkshire dales, Cumbria, Northumbria and Scotland. There is also a section which includes other animals and which will later be individually categorized as more photographs are taken. Sadly because of the practice of factory farming there is little opportunity to photograph cattle, pigs and poultry to quite the same extent as sheep. However you will find a small selection of photographs of these animals here and also included in the Portrait Gallery section: All Animals do Not Look the Same, a category depicting animal individuality

The collection also includes a selection of photographs sized for use as desktop wallpaper. Included here are sheep and other animals and in addition photographs of scenery in the above locations and the West country.  I have also included flowers and anything which may be suitable as desk top wallpaper. There is a video section which includes both movies and slide shows

Download Instructions:

To download right click and select "save picture as" from the drop down menu. I am sorry but I do not know the procedure for users of Mac computers however I would imagine that there is a similar method to save graphics. To make a selection from the categories below click the appropriate graphic.

To deter bandwidth theft I have began to add a caption at the bottom right-hand corner of each of the photographs. At the present time this effects only some of the photographs in the sheep and lambs section but in due course this will apply to all photographs. You are welcome to remove this. If you would like to have the graphics at full size minus the caption please write to me at the above e-mail address and I will send you a copy, by e-mail attachment, of the original free of charge for use for the above purposes.
